It’s already one month into the new year and a perfect time to check in on how well you are sticking to those resolutions. 64% of resolutions begin to fizzle out within the first month. We’ve provided some easy guidelines to keep you on top of those goals and beat the odds.
It’s really hard to get motivated to workout during the holidays. All the food, all the parties, all the treats make it difficult to focus on anything but being festive. But I still have a Ironman Triathlon to train for and to be perfectly honest I have been slacking this month.
When I look back on my college years, my fondest memories are not the parties or the events – it’s the self-induced suffering we go through as a team every time we wake up before dawn for a race, then return back exhausted and hopefully victorious.
The cold weather has finally arrived. As you can imagine, getting any kind of motivation to go outside and train in -3°C (26°F) temperatures is about as difficult as opening a tin of beans with a teaspoon. But, the clock is ticking and with just one month until my serious training kicks in, it is time to get off my butt… or on it! I’ve actually become a little fixated with the Cascade exercise bike
